New Beginnings

Christmas has come and gone, the New Year has come and gone, and my new (used) computer is still not up and running. I have spent hours and hours working on it and reading a lot of online troubleshooting tutorials. I finally think I know what the problem is but don’t have the free time I need to fix it. I may try to add a new video card, processor, and either a bigger hard drive or two hard drives.

I am not a computer nerd, I know not what I’m doing but I am willing to learn. If I had the money to just buy a new one, I would but that’s not the case. At my age there is no reason to learn anything new until there’s a strong enough need born from an even stronger desire. Anyway, I would not be exploring computer how-tos if I could just buy a new one. A month ago I had one very old computer. Now I have three, each being a little newer with a bit more potential. My living room looks like a computer graveyard.

It’s going to be awhile before I can get back to this blog and add anything of substance. I’m even thinking of changing the focus from writing to more of a spiritual and/or metaphysical flavor. I thought I could have both but time may not allow me to maintain two blogs. Actually, I should say three blogs since I want to create one for hair. Not a hairstyling blog per-say but more on hair structure and how chemicals and the environment affect that structure. I want to offer good solid advice on haircare products, their effectiveness or lack of it and show why some work for one type of hair while not working for others. There really is a science behind the scenes of hairstyling. Having more knowledge on that science will allow anyone to make better choices and choose a hairdresser that will give them what they want and/or need. Creating a blog focused on hair will take a huge amount of time and writing but it may well be worth the effort. Just not sure when I will have the time or when I will make it a priority.

I also have a friend who wants me to add some features to his site, including blog technology. But before I can do anything I need to get my house in order (organized) and get that new (used) computer up and running. I’m house/pet sitting the next 6 days for a friend who lost her mother this week. So until that is over nothing will get done on my house or new (used) computer. The clock is ticking …. tick-tock, tick-tock.

Stay tuned, you never know what I might be up to. ;)

I just stumbled on your site as I was surfing and I think it’s pretty cool, found your journal/blog entries very interesting and I identified with them very much.

I’ll be bookmarking your site here and come back to it.

    Take care!

Shayne, thanks for commenting. I feel guilty for not even looking at my blog for well over a month now. I just dropped in to do an update on my life, which has had absolutely nothing to do with writing. Well, unless editing for JoeAnt.com counts as writing. :)
